This One's for Capper

"There is no such thing as man-made global warming."

So says global warming expert James T. Harris in one of his "Hip Musings." Obviously James T. doesn't put much stock in what scientists like the folks over at NOAA have to say about the greenhouse effect as a contributor to global warming:
The greenhouse effect is unquestionably real and helps to regulate the temperature of our planet.

[...]

Human activity has been increasing the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere (mostly carbon dioxide from combustion of coal, oil, and gas; plus a few other trace gases). There is no scientific debate on this point.

Now call me crazy, but I put a lot more stock in what scientists like the smart folks over at NOAA have to say about global warming than I do in the rantings of chronic blasphemer who thinks he owns his children.

Grothman Blasts UW System for Frivolous Spending

In a third-person press release State embarassment Glenn Grothman put his ignorance on display
MADISON: Today State Senator Glenn Grothman (R-West Bend) blasted the
University of Wisconsin for spending precious tax and tuition dollars on
creating transgender restrooms on at least six campuses.

It appears as though transgender people are men who want to dress
like women and women who want to dress like men.

For the sake of the vocabulary-impaired Grothman here are some definitions.

Transgender: esp. def 2

Transvestite: with example

Kevin Fischer, What A Guy!

Oh, that Kevin Fischer, what a guy!

Last week, there were a number of tornadoes that ravaged the southern United States. Over fifty people lost their lives. How did that wonderful man, Fischer, respond to the tragedy?

Did he offer words of condolence and sympathy? Did he urge people to contribute to the Red Cross or Salvation Army? Did he urge people to send money and supplies to those affected? No, no and no. Instead, he worried whether Graceland survived. What a guy!

And what did Fischer say about the Westminster Dog Show? How great it was that a beagle had a good shot of winning? (FYI, Your King has a soft spot for beagles in his heart. If the beagle doesn't win, the show is rigged!) No, Fischer said this:
Taking Fido onto a carpet and having him strut around in a circle, checking his teeth, and tying his hair in a bow is NOT a sport.

Some weird looking under-sized toy with too much hair is going to win. Everybody knows that.

You want a real sport on TV tonight?

It’s called Monday Night Raw.

What a guy!

And the creme de la creme is this post, in its entirety:
Eggs, bacon, and Chelsea

OK, Jason, whad'ya think?

Was she cute?

That Fischer. A standing pillar in the community, a cultured individual of fine taste in entertainment, and a chivalrous gentelman.

What a guy!

Is it any wonder he is also conservative?
