Who's In Charge Of The GOP?

The right wing has been tearing themselves apart about every little thing, including who is the head of the GOP.

When they announced that Michael Steele was to be the new head of the GOP, all the local righties were instantly enamored with him, and praising what a good choice he was. Just like they did with Sarah Palin. Now it looks like their support is going to last him about as long as it lasted her.

From All Headline News:
Washington, D.C. (AHN) - The GOP plans to hold a no confidence vote on Republican National Committee (RNC) chairman Michael Steele after New York's 20th congressional district holds its election for the House at the end of the month, according to Political Wire.

Steele is facing increasing criticisms from his own party over his recent statements, less than six weeks into his chairmanship. The first black RNC head, he won the party's top post as controversies plagued his rivals.

I will admit that I am taking some guilty pleasure at watching the right do this to each other. It also makes me sleep better knowing that someone like Rush, with his low approval ratings, it the GOP's unofficial leader.

Tip of the crown to Caffeinated Politics.

  1. Well considering what he said about Rush and the brownshirt GOP convention, I am not surprised.
Hail Rush!!(sarcasm) I still support Steele.

  2. I support Steele too.

Perhaps Social Conservatives (who seem to be the ones rallying against Steele) need to learn how to be more tolerant, inclusive and work well with others.
