Oh, Please, Please, Please!!!

Mary of Freedom Eden takes time from her usual TV talk and to give us this interesting premise:
Belling noted that the Republicans need to find a truly viable candidate to challenge Feingold. He said that he can't run because he just signed a contract. Sure. However, he did toss out the idea that WTMJ's Charlie Sykes should run.

Belling said Sykes has great name recognition. He has intellectual weight, thanks to the books he's written. Belling wasn't being flip about Sykes running. He was being completely serious. I think.

It's not going to happen, but I'd vote for Sykes.
That would be like shooting fish in a barrel, but it would also be a heckuva lotta fun.

  1. Gee, I would hope you have health insurance if Sykes ran. Having to blog about Sykes AND Walker would have drove you nuts.
    Sykes wouldn't run- he doesn't want to take a pay cut.

  2. More likely, he'd be scared shitless. Of course, I could put ads on here, and I could retire a millionaire by November.

  3. Well. I suppose, "light," is a weight.

  4. it's far easier for guys like belling and Sykes to sit on the sidelines and talk shit. Actually running for office and possibly winning means you might have to actually be accountable for your words and deeds.

  5. Anon,I do agree with you. Most radio show talkers are there for entertainment value, left or right. They don't like confrontation and wouldn't handle a debate well.
    They might get elected because of their popularity, but they really are just entertainers.

  6. Oh yeah Dan? Al Franken is sharper than all of the GOP in the Senate, but look who they have.

  7. Once again she proves she is as dumb as a box of rocks. We would salivate at Sykes being exposed to a state-wide campaign. Do it!

  8. Al Franken stole the election, but he is also dumb as rocks.
    Mn is a leftist state and he cheats to win. And your point is what?

  9. Hey Dan;

    Franken graduated from Harvard. Where did you get your GED?
