    Dead Silence: On Nov. 5, 1974, a bomb wrapped in a decorative gift box killed paperboy Larry Anstett by mistake as he tromped down the sidewalk on his route. “The force of the blast killed Larry instantly,” wrote Kurt Chandler (March 2001). “His face was burned beyond recognition, his right eye ripped from its socket. Both of his hands were blown away and the bones in his arms shattered. Dozens of metal fragments were shot into his neck and chest, tearing into his windpipe and lungs.” The bombing was a hit gone bad by members of the Outlaws motorcycle gang. Seven murders followed. Police believed the killer was a Waukesha man, but then-Waukesha DA Paul Bucher declined to prosecute.

    The photoshop is from Belling's blog (if you can call it a blog). Belling is Sykes, but ruder, louder, even less intelligent, and more blatantly racist. (He is the one that got suspended for using a racial epithet against illegal immigrants.)

    He also doesn't write much, so we don't get to call him on his garbage as much. And no one here really cares to expose their ears to him.

    Oh. Not defending anyone here, but was there sufficient evidence to prosecute? I mean, I know sometimes without iron clad evidence, they'll decline to prosecute until they find it.

    I've got a vague memory of this being brought up during the gov. race, but it's sketchy.

    Now, don't go into shock or anything, but I was never a big fan of Belling when we lived up there. I found him down right rude, and obnoxious. He never would allow an opinion that was even slightly different from his. The only time I'd even listen to him was when WFDL would pre-empt for baseball. And then, only his monologue. Nope, didn't like him at all. (See, we can agree on something!)

    Actually, me own pappy, who is a self-described neocon, said pretty much the same thing about Belling as well. He also wrote off Limbaugh. It gives one hope...
