Is It Rush bin Ladin or Osama bin Limbaugh?

From Caffeinated Politics, where Rush's fervent hope for Obama's, and consequentially, America's failure is being discussed:
I have to believe that smart Americans feel different, even in spite of political differences they may have with President Obama. After all Limbaugh was not talking about the Super Bowl when he hoped for someone to fail. He was talking about our nation, and our way of life. Think about that.

Limbaugh has had bouts of drug addiction and numerous marital failures, and so he has reason for feeling depressed about his life. But to wish the new leader of this country to fail, and by extension every American, is nothing short of pathetic.

Seems the last one who wanted America to fail was Osama Bin Laden. It is strange that Rush Limbaugh would want to mimic the one responsible for 9/11. But believe it or not, that is exactly what Limbaugh did.

Should we expect Rush Limbaugh to try for a pilots license soon?

Pretty sick man, that Rush into Limbo, eh? Well, guess who wants to expose our kids to that drug-addled unAmerican? You got it.

  1. And a pretty sick comparison of limbaugh and Bin Laden. Why not just bring a NAZI reference as well. Make it a 2fer

  2. Are you defending Rush's anti-American position? Is that how desperate the right has gotten?

  3. And the left was 100% behind all of Bush's ideas and plans?

  4. Of course not, we only hoped Bush would start doing the correct thing for a change. We did not want the country to fail. We wanted Bush to change his plans and schemes so there was a chance for success.

    He obviously didn't listen.

  5. Not that I'm a fan of Rush Limbaugh, but I seem to recall reading that he didn't want the US to fail, just Obama's liberal policies. As far as Rush is concerned, Obama isn't doing the "correct things". I hardly think that qualifies him as anti-American.

Not that he probably hasn't brought this upon himself. The extreme rhetoric on both sides however is one of the reasons why the country is so divided IMNSHO.

  6. I fully concur with that last sentence.

I don't believe anyone with a rational mind is either all conservative or all liberal in their beliefs. This "you're either with us or you're against us" mentality is not conducive to getting anything of significance accomplished.

  7. "The extreme rhetoric on both sides however is one of the reasons why the country is so divided IMNSHO"
"I fully concur with that last sentence."
    Then explain your first post.
