Today, An Alliance. Tomorrow, A Cabal?

State Rep Pridemore's press releases become more quixotic by the day. Today he has stepped back into the first person to chastise Owen and to accuse Owen of:
coming after me [Pridemore] which plays into the hands of the
Bucher/Wisconsin Right to Life alliance

It seems like just days ago that Bucher was a Liberal or a candidate or a non-candidate and now he's the leader of his own alliance.

It's a little early for paranoia to set in at Pridemore HQ. Isn't it?

  1. I read a bit of that back and forth and I can't tell who is confused by, who is confusing who with, or who is confused with and by, "facts."

    Likely all of the above.

  2. Wow. I thought I was making the Bucher thing all up. At least that's how some have described my speculation that Bucher was feathering the nest for a run.

Could it be? Pridemore's certainly concerned.

  3. They're eating their own.

If we could only find out how this works and get all Republicans to do this.

  4. Are not Pridemore, Bucher and Gleisner all nearly neighbors?

    Charges stick against acupuncturist
A judge today refused to dismiss five counts of misdemeanor sex assault filed against an acupuncturist who practiced in the City of Pewaukee and Delafield and scheduled the case for a July jury trial.

Samy A. Elawady, 63, of Wauwatosa, was charged in March with nine counts of fourth-degree sexual assault in connection with inappropriately touching the breasts of six female patients, according to the criminal complaint filed against him in Waukesha County Circuit Court.

Defense attorney Paul Bucher argued that five of the counts should be dismissed because the state failed to allege in the charging document that the touching was for the purpose of sexual gratification.

"Simply touching the breast area" is not sexual assault, Bucher told Judge Ralph Ramirez.

The former Waukesha County district attorney said two elements are required before sexual assault charges can be filed: touching and sexual gratification.

There's nothing in the criminal complaint related to the five charges Bucher sought to dismiss to indicate that the touching was anything but therapeutic, he said.

But Ramirez said statements made by other acupuncturists and by Elawady to investigators show that a "clear inference" can be drawn that the type of touching Elawady is accused of is consistent with sexual gratification.
