Protest The Protest

I warned you about this a month ago. Today is the day that the American Life League will be starting a protest against the pill. Their plan is bullying, misinformation, and the desire to control you in your own bedroom, whether your single or married.

Pundit Nation has their must read on this issue as well. I love the ending:
That would have the effect of doing something positive, and not treating women like they’re too stupid to know what’s best for themselves and their families.

Another good take is from the remarkable Emily, who also picked up on this last month.

Now go out, or better yet, stay in, and protest the protest the way you feel would be best.

  1. So, insisting that all people should use oral contraceptives and barrier products for the sake of practicing "safe sex" is not an invasion of privacy and not telling people what to do in their bedrooms? Let's be honest on this point - both sides are trying to tell people what to do in their bedrooms.

  2. Anony: That's silly. No one is insisting women use contraceptives. Use of barrier products is their choice, too.

You would be a great spin writer for the Anti-Choice League.
