Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid

She's back on the air!

Oh, the horror...OK, must get a grip. Sob...Wait, give me a sec...Alright, I think I can go on now.

WUWM's Lake Effect program has been doing a series this week covering local bloggers. The have spoken with Jay Bolluck of folkbum (who runs an excellent site, second only to Whallah!), Mike Mathias of Pundit Nation, Gretchen Schuldt from Milwaukee Rising, and Illusory Tenant's number one fan club member.

Interesting shows that give a little insight into each of these players. As I was listening to Gretchen's interview, which happened this morning, the host of the show, Jane Hampden, mentioned tomorrow's guest. You guessed it.

She's baaaaaack!

Unfortunately for you, and fortunately for me, I won't be able to listen to it for a few days, but you can access it yourself at the link above. (Unless I can find that Tim Rock guy, or Other Side, if Tim's not available, and con one of them into doing it.)

  1. Is this why she has been so quiet? She's been keeping her powder dry for tomorrow morning. SHe's probably been plotting and conspiring to figure out a way to upstage Gretchen and take over her show. Is this a call in show? Maybe I can call and ask her why she's been so quiet lately. Maybe someone will ask Gretchen why a university would want someone of her extreme political ilk (polite hey?) teaching prospective journalists anything!

  2. First of all Anony, it's Jane's show. Gretchen was today's guest.

Second, there is no call in. It's only about five or ten minutes long, and strictly an interview. However, it wouldn't be hard to figure from the lead in from today's show, it will be ME, ME, ME throughout the whole time.

  3. Sounds like someone is nervous because her husband took money from some questionable donors?

  4. Didn't see any contributions to Doyle from Stephen King.

  5. You didn't miss much Capper. Liberals call her names. They allow anonymous comments. She doesn't know why she got fired. You have to ask her former employer. She played the gender card a bit. Liberals pick on female bloggers more. I guess the new definition of a liberal is someone that doesn't like McBride. I'll let you listen to her I won't apologize because I didn't do anything wrong spiel yourself. Also Eugene Kane got "personal" in his attacks on her. Oh well, guess I'll post this one anonymously in honor of her. Jane did say she was an UWM ehatever she is, blooger and columnist for the WF. Jess said she had a lot of things going. Wonder what the other ones are? Maybe her nustery novel.

  6. Don't get to upset, but I don't think she reads "liberal" blogs any longer.

  7. If she doesn't read liberal blogs anymore then I guess her academic study of the Wisconsin blogosphere is going to be real scholarly.

  8. When she was working with Charlie and her spouse was a quotable notable she never was short on ideas to blog about. Maybe she needs to refocus and look at her current status. Since she used to blog a lot about trial lawyers, maybe she could do a few blogs from her new prospective as the wife of a trial lawyer. Shecould contact her hubbie's clients to see how well he has made the transition from prosecutor to defense attorney.

Didn't hear her segment on WPR but I'll download it to my Ipod and listen when I get home.

  9. Why is she worried what liberals think or say about her? There are only 1,000 people in Wisconsin that read the blogs.

  10. You're right: By the way she has conducted her personal and professional life, it's clear that she doesn't care about anyone else's moral or ethical standards.
